What is the Crown Chakra?

After journeying through earth, water, fire, wind, sound, and light, we finally arrive at the Crown Chakra. It’s the seventh of the seven main chakras in the human body, located at the top of the head.

This chakra connects us with divine intelligence (or universal consciousness) and the source of all manifestation. Just as the Root Chakra is both the source of Kundalini rising and what grounds us deeply to the earth, the Crown Chakra is the source of all manifestation and the gateway to transcendence.

It’s said that when your consciousness rises to the Crown Chakra, you can feel the oneness of all beings and the unity of all things. This is probably what Buddhists call “Enlightenment” and what ancient people referred to as the “Unity of Heaven and humanity.”

Crown Chakra Functions

First, we must remember that no matter how we describe the Crown Chakra, its scope is far beyond what language can express. Only through experience can we truly know it.

The Crown Chakra receives higher-dimensional wisdom and inspiration. Universal energy flows in through here. Opening the Crown Chakra means you’ll have more inspiration and inner wisdom.

This wisdom is no longer based on the ego’s scheming but on a balanced, tolerant perspective. It’s more blessed to give than to receive. This is a lucid realization of one’s self-sufficiency and the illusory nature of external objects. It’s a sense of cosmic abundance and wholeness.

The function of the Crown Chakra is understanding, just as other chakras function to see (Third Eye), speak (Throat), love (Heart), act (Solar Plexus), feel (Sacral), or possess (Root). Through the Crown Chakra, we receive endless information, and then identify and present this information through the operation of other chakras.

7 Chakras Functions

This chakra is considered the wheel of enlightenment. Its ultimate state of consciousness transcends rationality, sensory perception, and the limitations of the surrounding world.

Balanced Crown Chakra Signs

  1. Often have good creative inspirations.
  2. Can interpret subconscious and universal consciousness.
  3. Trust intuition and are very accurate.
  4. Understand true self, feel peaceful and happy.
  5. Love learning correct knowledge and can receive higher-dimensional consciousness.
  6. Connect with wisdom, realizing inherent completeness.
  7. View people and things with balance and peace.

Imbalanced Crown Chakra Signs

When the Crown Chakra is imbalanced, a person might:

  1. Have slow thinking or even cognitive deficiencies. This can be due to congenital factors, brain organic lesions and degeneration, depression, or long-term lack of sleep.
  2. Be indecisive, lack joy in life, and find life routine and boring.
  3. Be constantly busy and rushed in life.
  4. Be excessively addicted to certain things without awareness.
  5. Lack true wisdom in dealing with people and situations, often finding themselves in similar scenarios.
Imbalanced Crown Chakra Sign overthink

When the Crown Chakra energy is too strong, like with an overactive Third Eye Chakra, energy may be pulled upwards, depleting the lower parts. Without the foundation and support of the lower chakras, one might overthink things, potentially leading to brain diseases or nervous system disorders. They might become overly enthusiastic about the spiritual world, neglecting physical needs and life in the real world.

Crown Chakra Healing

  1. Physical practice: Practice static inverted yoga poses, Tai Chi, achieving a state of physical movement and mental stillness.
  2. Nature connection: Connect with nature, meditate in open natural spaces.
  3. Perspective shift: Try to view people and situations from a higher perspective in daily life.
  4. Mindful nutrition: Focus on an inorganic diet, supplemented with pure organic foods like water, white onions, almonds, and white radish.
  5. Aromatherapy: Use essential oils like sandalwood, cedarwood, and helichrysum.
  6. Sound therapy: Listen to audio frequencies associated with the Crown Chakra, such as 963 Hz tones or binaural beats designed for this energy center. These sounds can help stimulate and balance your Crown Chakra.

Crown Chakra Meditation

  1. First, move your body a bit to fully relax.
  2. Form the Crown Chakra mudra: interlock your fingers, raise both pinky fingers with their tips pointing upward, place your hands on top of your head.
  3. Focus your attention on the top of your head. Make the meditation sound “eng,” feeling the vibration in your head breaking through layers of resistance.
  4. Imagine a flickering purple-red or white light expanding at the top of your head, connecting you with the universe. Feel the existence of infinite possibilities.
  5. In this feeling of infinite possibility, tell yourself: “I am deeply connected to the vast consciousness of the universe. I am infinite, we are all designers and experiencers of our destiny games. We are constantly creating various experiences, our past beliefs determine our present experiences, and our future experiences will be constructed by who we are now. I deeply understand the importance of beliefs for inner balance. I am willing to let go of old beliefs that no longer serve me and embark on a new journey.”
  6. Let this purple-red or white light fill your entire being.
  7. If you feel a slight warmth at the top of your head, it indicates that the Crown Chakra is slowly opening.
  8. Continue visualizing, the universe’s energy is guided into the Crown Chakra through the specific mudra. As the sound becomes louder, the Crown Chakra continues to vibrate, and headaches caused by Crown Chakra blockage will be relieved to some extent.
